“ What a gem in this small Texas town! Everything was enjoyable from the beautiful decor, cloth tablecloths, food and service. We visited during the town’s Lavender festival so the menu incorporated lavender in some of their menu offerings. I had the Lavender Chicken Salad Sandwich served with kettle chips and a lavender lemonade...it was quite delicious! I think the menu was specific for this weekend.. ”
“ What a beautiful dinner! We were traveling from Rockport to Dallas last night and just Googled the nearest open restaurant. Such a wonderful, pleasant surprise! I was a bit worried when we walked in and I saw the table settings and the beautiful historical building because we were under dressed and a bit scrappy looking. But we were made to feel so welcome. We ordered the Chicken Fried Steak that was served with Mashed Potatoes and the best Glazed Carrots. And an off menu special Cottage Pie (fancy Shepherds Pie). When I say this was fantastic it’s because I can’t think of a word to adequately describe just how divine it smelled and tasted. Because our sweet server recommended the Cottage Pie, we went with her recommendation for dessert as well, Bread Pudding. Oh my! Absolutely delicious! The perfect ending to share after a fabulous dinner of very generous portions. We’re most definitely looking forward to a return visit and enjoying another delicious and beautiful meal at Uptown Blanco! Appreciate the hospitality! ”

Amazing feeds 4 huge portion and very tasty. Added a glass of Merlot "RB" to pair with my 10oz. New York strip w/ chimichurri. Well prepared and seasoned!! Wifey ordered the Polenta Rib bites from the starter menu and was also amazing! Hands down hidden gem!! ”
“ Unimposing facade leads into a lovely dining area. You cannot park directly out front, so parking is available wherever you find it. We were seated promptly and received excellent service. Lunch menu includes salads, sandwiches, appetizers, and entrees like chicken fried steak. Beer and wine choices are numerous. I enjoyed the chicken salad sandwich plate, which was scrumptious. Others enjoyed the crab cakes and grilled shrimp appetizers. Rave reviews for them both. We enjoyed our meals so much we went out of our way to tell the manager...! Dessert is available. Prices are very reasonable and we would love to return for dinner. ”

“ My wife and I had the pleasure of dining here tonight during our weekend getaway. We tried the barbecue shrimp for an appetizer alongside some freshly baked garlic bread, delicious to say the least! We both had a ribeye as the main course which was both flavorful and tender, served atop great mashed potatoes and Mac and cheese for myself and a side of broccolini for my wife, which was seasoned to perfection! For dessert we had a nice cup of coffee paired with a piece of lemon creme cake. The cake had a great texture and was the perfect amount of sweetness. The ambience of the dining room was both cozy and romantic. We had the pleasure of being served by Darius, who quite frankly made our experience top notch! Darius made sure that we had a great experience with superb attentiveness, conversation and suggestions for both entree and drink selection. Darius definitely made us feel welcomed and has secured our business as future customers! ”
